AIIJ first meeting with stakeholders — Social Services of the Municipal District Teatinos-Universidad
On 27 April 2024, a meeting was held at the Asociación Iniciativa Internacional Joven, with the participation of Ana Belén Domínguez España, director of the association, Lia Sundlöf, a social work trainee and Luz Navarro, a trainee at the Social Services of the Municipal District Teatinos-Universidad. During the meeting, several international projects in which the association is involved were discussed, with the highlight being United for a Green Europe.
This project, co-financed by the European Union, seeks to develop the key competences of young people and future leaders so that they can create participatory proposals that contribute to a greener, more inclusive and sustainable Europe. The main objective of ‘United for a Green Europe’ is to empower young people to take an active role in creating environmental solutions, promoting their leadership and environmental awareness.
During the meeting, the importance of sustainability education and awareness raising was highlighted as key tools to foster youth engagement in environmental protection. Europe’s commitment to sustainability was made clear, inspiring participants to continue working together towards a more responsible future. The meeting reaffirmed the need for collaboration to address environmental challenges effectively.
