Successful Meeting on UxGE Project and Sustainability Engagement with Youth Leaders

On November 11, 2024, The Rural Hub convened a small meeting of youth leaders and stakeholders involved with the education and youth work industries, to inform them about relevant projects including UxGE.

With a focus on presenting the background to the project, its goals and intended outcomes, and its eventual potential to impact sustainability policy,  we aimed to convey the importance of addressing sustainability topics with our young people.

In addition to a short presentation outlining the project, a discussion on sustainability more generally followed. Participants were engaged throughout and expressed eagerness to continue to contribute to developments within the project, ensuring that we would have some returning attendees for future UxGE events.

Overall, the meeting was a resounding success and demonstrated the interest among youth work practitioners and youth leaders in promoting a new age of conscientiousness when it comes to sustainability.
